all the world's a big board game and all the students and teachers merely those little plastic circusy looking clown hats of various colors. they may have been models like for a miniature building that was eventually built. with finite timelines. not to mention the valuable meat, hide, and bone.
i don't know about anyone else, but i never seem to have enough of any of those mammoth items!!
