i'm just not getting it. there's got to be a better way than the treading i'm doing right now. it's totally exhausting and i feel like i'm getting nowhere. ooooh, snap! that's the place he was telling tales about.

12.1.12

something to start the season off right.

and this stocking stuffer.
the beauty of some of these slogpostings is that they can be played at the same time. amazing how loud the lightning is. (i know, it's the thunder that makes the noise.)

it's all an act, pt. 2

obviously a staged video. no teacher would ever be as much as tempted to do something like this.

Saturday, November 10, 2012

it's all an act

all the world's a big board game and all the students and teachers merely those little plastic circusy looking clown hats of various colors. they may have been models like for a miniature building that was eventually built. with finite timelines. not to mention the valuable meat, hide, and bone.

in the (swimming) hole

not quite oxy (there's no tarzan swing), but still one of the finest relaxation experiences in the past several years. i post it here now only because this image was stalled on my desktop; and the persistent daydream of plunging into relaxation.

beware the boy

just finished a small reading unit on homelessness. i was reminded of this scene, especially when many of the kids in the class described the homeless as "lazy bums," not fully appreciating they were speaking about classmates and their families.

this particular version holds most closely to dickens' words, written more than 150 years ago.
